Vic Hill 12th at Volunteer Speedway

Saturday saw Vic Hill take his Estes Bros. Construction No. 1 Late Model into battle at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) to compete with the Southern All Star Series for the Bulls Gap Bash 40.

Earning the third-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main via his time trial effort, Vic faded nine spots in the 40-lapper to finish 12th.

Back in action on Monday, Hill traveled to Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.) for the Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial. With 20 Late Models entered for the event co-sanctioned by the Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series and the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals, Vic timed in eighth-fastest before placing third in his heat. With $21,000 on the line, Hill was taken out by another competitor while running sixth that ended his night on the fourth lap.
