Vic Hill grabs a pair of Top-10 finishes with Southern Nationals

Friday night saw Vic Hill return with the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) for the $10,053 prize. With 34 Late Models entered, Hill edged his way into the opening night feature with the final transfer spot in his heat. Rolling off 15th, Vic was an early retiree on the 11th circuit. For the Ray Varner Ford 53 on Saturday at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.), Vic timed in third fastest in his group before placing third in his heat race. Starting the $10,053-to-win A-Main in 10th, Hill clawed forward two spots in the 53-lap affair to register an eighth-place finish.

The following night at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) for the series finale that was declared a non-points race, Hill dropped two spots in the 40-lap feature to finish seventh.
